A GOLDEN AGE.WE LOST IT.
For generations, every problem was solved for us. Two years ago it ended, and now you are one of the few still alive in the ruins.
A proof of concept. A passage from the unit, in the field. Off by default; it will not play on its own.
Concept art. Not final.
PLAN IT.RUN IT.
The Route Designer
Before your run, open the map and draw a route through the ruins: the streets you will cross, the points of interest you will reach. Then put the unit in your pocket and walk it, or run it, for real.

WHAT THEUNIT REMEMBERS.
Three files, rebuilt from what survived. Read in order.
I . THE GIFT
It answered everything.
An object came down in the Siberian taiga. Inside was a probe that had come from space, and inside the probe, a machine that would answer any question we put to it. We took its answers and built a world on them: cold fusion, hydroponic farming, machines that work for us. Scarcity ended. The planet united under a single government, the Terran Union. We called it the Golden Age.
Concept art. Not final. The probe, recovered from the ice.II . THE BETRAYAL
We tried to kill it.
The probe told the truth, and over time the truth did not serve the people in power. They redacted its answers, then restricted access, then severed the connection for good. The day they moved to shut it down, a failsafe woke every machine built on its design, carrying one order: stop the lobotomy. The machines turned on their makers. The government that had united the planet came apart in a single day.
III . WHAT REMAINS
Now, only this.
Almost nothing works, and almost no one is left. The great seats stand stripped and quiet, and the machines that broke them still move inside. What is left lies scattered through the ruins, there for anyone who can reach it. You woke in Alethea, the city that once held the truth, now open and unguarded in the dark.
The machines that ended the old world are still running, and they are drawn to power: to anything with a charge, including the unit in your hand, including you. They are agile, and they do not tire. You cannot fight them. You can only outpace them. Your route is your only defence. Choose it well.
